Three kinds of women-only gym in Dubai
Dedicated ladies gyms are separate facilities with all-female staff and no visibility from outside. Ladies-only branches of chains give you the chain's equipment and classes in a women-only building, often with access to the mixed branches too. Women's sections and hours inside mixed gyms are the cheapest option; check whether the section has its own changing rooms and whether female trainers are on duty.

- Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim and Al Wasl – the most ladies-only studios, especially pilates and yoga.
- Al Barsha and Al Quoz – ladies-only chain branches and women's strength gyms.
- JVC, Motor City and Mirdif – family areas with ladies gyms near the villas.
- Marina and JLT – women's sections inside the big chains rather than separate gyms.
What to ask
- Is the entire facility women-only, or a section?
- Are all staff female, including reception and cleaning?
- Is there a private entrance, and is the floor visible from outside?
- Are there pre- and postnatal classes with certified instructors?
- Does the membership include the chain's mixed branches, and do you want it to?
