Fitness Centres

Meet our personal trainers

Our gyms, or fitness centres as some people like to call them are the perfect environment to help you along your fitness journey. We also understand that everyone has different goals; whether they want to improve their cardiovascular fitness, build muscle, lose weight or get toned between our excellent choice of equipment and our fantastic personal trainers we can definitely help.

To get things moving first you would need to fill out our online consultation form. This helps us assess your exercise needs and also helps us to understand what you’re trying to achieve. We will request a small amount of personal information which will help us determine your preferred gym location and help us to assign you the right trainer.

Elevate Training boasts an impressive cohort of over 20 personal trainers which cover a variety of fitness disciplines such as weightlifting and bodybuilding, cardio, triathlons and sport-specific such as cycling and basketball.

All of our personal trainers are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable and are there to serve you. They want to see you hit your goals and be the best possible version of yourself. There’s nothing more satisfying than smashing personal bests and you can be sure that our personal trainers will celebrate those successes with you when they come along. The other side to our personal trainers is that they’re all extremely driven and motivated and will help to pick you up when you’re having a bad day or aren’t quite seeing the results you expected. They’ll reassure you that it’s only a matter of time and by staying consistent and working hard you’ll get there and will be ready to celebrate when you do.

One area that our personal trainers will help you excel in is diet and nutrition, an area which so many people find difficult. How does that old saying go? Abs are made in the kitchen. We won’t go into detail here, but there’s no point in sweating it out in the gym and following your workout up with a tube of Pringles if you get what we’re saying. Learning to fuel your body correctly will change your life and give you unstoppable energy.

The other important thing to remember about our personal trainers is that through their qualifications they have the knowledge and experience to help assess medical issues and prevent issues which is an important part of exercising. Nobody wants to get injured and if you do it can seriously jeopardise your exercise your routine.

Access Elevate Training anytime you like

The amazing thing about Elevate Training is that it’s a 24-hour gym so you can access it at anytime that suits your schedule. This is perfect if you’re in Muscat and looking for a 24-hour gym near me, especially if you work a job that has an awkward schedule or you prefer working out at a different time of day to other people.

We actually want to touch on the point about working out during busy times versus working out during quieter times. Obviously, if you enter one of our gyms at 5 am they’re not going to be as busy as 6 pm. Most people prefer a quiet gym where they can enter, and get around the machines and weights they need to use without having to wait and finish their workout in as little time as possible. But, there is some merit in attending Elevate Training during the busier times, as by doing this you’ll get to meet some of our amazing community and help you to make gym friendships that stretch beyond the training environment.

We think that by answering the old question of 24-hour gym near me by providing all day and night access we have addressed gym access issues that prevent a lot of people from undertaking exercise.

How to use a steam bath in the gym?

Steam rooms are a great way to relax and unwind and are often used after a workout. To use one effectively make sure you leave yourself enough time to relax, wear appropriate clothing (swim shorts or a towel are good), take deep breaths and make sure the steam room isn’t overcrowded when you enter.

What to eat after gym?

After visiting the gym it’s important to eat a balanced meal that will help your body replenish its muscle energy stores and help to start the recovery process. It’s a good idea to have a meal that is rich in carbohydrates and protein as your body will use these sources of energy to maximum effect.

What to drink while gym workout?

If you’re heading to the gym for a workout, drinking water is probably the best choice as this will help you replenish any fluids lost through sweat. Some people do opt for a drink with electrolytes, however, this is only needed if you’re planning on exercising for a long time. Protein shakes are best left for before or after a workout and don’t need to be consumed whilst working out.

Is a gym belt necessary?

Gym belts are only really necessary as you begin to lift heavier weights, somewhere in the region of 1.5x your body weight. If you are new to the gym you shouldn’t need a gym belt but it’s important you learn to lift weights with proper form to help avoid injury.

What to wear in the gym?

If you go to the gym, it’s best to wear some type of sports clothes that will feel comfortable and allow you to exercise safely and correctly. Footwear should be comfortable trainers, most probably shorts for men, and either shorts or leggings for women, and a t-shirt or vest for men, whilst women could choose from a women’s specific training top.
